The Forum of the regions of Uzbekistan and Belarus is held on July 29-30, in Minsk.
It is attended by representatives of regions, ministries and agencies, parliamentarians, businesspeople of the two countries.
Uzbekistan delegation at the forum is led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoyev.
The main theme of the Forum became the cooperation of the regions as a key factor in development of interstate relations.
At the event, issues such as updating the roadmap for development of bilateral cooperation, the possibility of creating new joint ventures, development of commodity distribution network, cooperation in agriculture, information technologies, and education are discussed.
The guests and participants of the forum are also becoming acquainted with the exhibition of Uzbekistan goods.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, following the event, it is planned to sign a number of interregional agreements and commercial contracts.
