The lower house of the Parliament hosted meetings of factions of political parties. A number of draft laws were considered.
The draft law "On citizenship of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was discussed at the meeting of the faction of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.
The draft law "On approval of the Urban Planning Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was discussed in detail.
The draft law "On precious metals and precious stones" was discussed at the meeting of the faction of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Milliy Tiklanish".
At the meeting of the faction of the Social Democratic Party "Adolat" in the second reading, the draft law "On introducing amendments and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On geodesy and cartography" was considered.
At the meeting of the faction of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, a report of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) on activities in 2019 was heard.
Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights U. Muhammadiyev delivered a speech. He presented detailed information on the activities carried out in protecting the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens, further improving the normative-legal acts regarding human rights, monitoring the implementation of legal acts and international agreements of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the meeting of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan faction, the draft law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On ratification of the Charter of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (The Hague, October 31, 1951)" was discussed.
