There are about 1800 panel cottages in Sardoba, Mirzaabad and Oqoltin districts, they were almost not affected by the flood. They are planned to be modernized and handed over to their owners. For this purpose, 305 teams of construction companies and about 12 thousand builders from all the regions of the country, led by leaders of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, have arrived in Syrdarya.

In total, 657 cottages will be renovated in Shodlik, Sakhovat, Akhillik makhallas and Uchtom village of Oqoltin district. Houses in Shodlik makhalla are assigned to Samarkand, Kashkadarya and Tashkent regions, in Akhillik makhalla and Uchtom village – to Surkhandarya region, and in Sakhovat makhalla – to the city of Tashkent.

Water flooded 8.7 thousand hectares of cultivated land in the district. Here, as well as in Sardoba and Mirzaabad districts, water was pumped out using portable pumps. Measures are being taken to weed and cultivate the remaining cotton, as well as to plant other crops.
