At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on 11 March, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met the distinguished guest at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
The Kyrgyz Republic is a strategic partner of Uzbekistan. It is expected that today at Kuksaroy Residence, the Presidents will consider the entire range of issues of further development and strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership.
The agenda of the leaders’ meeting includes the current aspects of continuing a constructive political dialogue, enhancing multifaceted interaction in trade, industry, transport, energy, agriculture and water management, enhancing inter-parliamentary and interregional contacts.
During the negotiations, it is also planned to discuss the implementation of joint programs in culture, healthcare, education and tourism.
Tashkent hosts Uzbekistan –Kyrgyzstan Business Forum and the first meeting of the Business Council as part of President Sadyr Zhaparov’s visit to Uzbekistan.
