President of Uzbekistan holds a phone call with President of Russia

On July 2, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The President of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated President Vladimir Putin on successful holding of an important political event – the All-Russian vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

The Presidents expressed deep satisfaction with fruitful results of the bilateral meeting held in Moscow within the framework of participation of Uzbekistan delegation in celebrations of the 75th Anniversary of Victory over fascism.

The leaders reiterated their commitment to further strengthening Uzbekistan – Russian strategic partnership and alliance, building up multifaceted cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to issues on the agenda of upcoming visits at the highest level, as well as to the continuation of coordinated measures on reducing the negative impact of the global spread of coronavirus infection on trade-economic relations between the countries.

During the telephone conversation, views were also exchanged on the current issues of international politics, the preparation and holding of summits of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization were considered.

The conversation was held in a traditionally warm, open and friendly atmosphere.
