President of Uzbekistan: People should feel the attention of the state through the Center of Public Services

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the Center for Public Services and Technopark in the city of Karshi, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the center has all the conditions for provision of 140 types of public services. Employees of the center, which was commissioned in February this year, have provided more than 300 thousand public services to date. About 2 thousand of them were provided through branches, about a thousand – on-site. The center also houses the People’s Reception Office of the President and Prime Minister’s Reception Office.
The Head of the state got acquainted with the conditions, inquired about the services provided. He gave instructions to launch new types of services, taking into account the needs of citizens, to expand remote services for the convenience of people. The importance of raising awareness of the population about the activities of such centers, about their services was emphasized.
“People should feel the attention of the state through the Center of Public Services”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
As is known, branches of the IT Park are being created in the regions, all conditions are created for specialists in the industry.
Web designers, programmers and robоtics specialists have started their activities in Karshi IT Park. As a result of trainings organized within the framework of “Million Programmers” project, great opportunities have been created for young people who are keen on information technologies. The first results are evident.
In particular, a team of Kashkadarya youth won the mGovAward competition among students of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan to develop the best mobile application for state needs. The mobile application they created for distance learning foreign languages received a prize of 500 million UZS, which will be used to improve the product.
The Head of the state congratulated the young programmers on their success and inquired about their further goals. Responsible persons were instructed to support this project and assist the team in developing new programs.
“Each region has its own opportunities and its own pressing problems. IT parks should create software products taking into account these features. For example, the spheres of land reclamation, potato growing, viticulture are in poor condition in Kashkadarya, there are favorable conditions for the development of animal husbandry, horticulture. Innovative projects are needed in these spheres to save resources and increase the productivity coefficient”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Instructions were given to enhance cooperation between higher education institutions, research institutes and IT parks.
