President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the informal Meeting of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States to be held in Saint Petersburg (Russia) on December 20, 2019.
It is expected that the leaders of the CIS will exchange views on the state and prospects for development of multilateral cooperation within the CIS.
In accordance with the decision adopted at the October summit of the Commonwealth in Ashgabat, the Republic of Uzbekistan will chair the CIS from January 1, 2020.
