On October 8, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Surkhandarya region in order to get acquainted with the creative work on the ground, major projects and dialogue with the people, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to UzA, the Head of the state began his trip with a visit to the Mausoleum of the great scientist Khakim at-Termezi.
A prayer was read with a request to the Almighty to send peace and tranquility to the country.

President visited the Specialized Boarding School No. 9 in Termez.
The buildings of the school that were built in 1979, are outdated. Due to the small number of classes, it accommodates only 250 students.
The quality of education, on the contrary, is exemplary. The team boasts high rates of admission of graduates to universities and specialized schools.
Moreover, new housing is being built around, there are more residents, and therefore the need for school education is growing.
The President stressed that instead of this institution it is advisable to build a modern school for 1.5 thousand places.
“It is the specialists who realize the goals that our country sets for itself. We will reach the results when we raise the authority of the teacher and direct education in the right direction. Therefore, a new National program for the repair and reconstruction of schools will be adopted in the next five years”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The Head of the state talked with teachers of the school. They made proposals to improve school education and encourage teachers.
Measures for the development of the general education system in Surkhandarya region were also discussed here. It is planned to create 96 thousand additional student places in the region. For this purpose, 21 schools and new buildings in 358 schools will be built, and 116 schools will be overhauled. It is planned to organize 19 schools with in-depth study of information technology, mathematics, chemistry and biology.
President visited the Gulistan mahalla in Termez.
In recent years, new houses, retail and consumer service points, playgrounds have been built here. The residents of the courtyards productively use the plots. They are engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry and poultry farming.
The Head of the state visited the house of Saydulla Mirzayev and got acquainted with the living conditions of the family.
The head of the family was a shepherd for many years. He and his wife Mrs. Khosiyat raised six children. A subsidiary farm is organized in a well-maintained yard. Lemons are grown in the greenhouse.
“Surkhandarya is a blessed land. Here you can harvest crops three times a year. We should use this, bring technologies from developed countries and find a market for products. This will serve as a source of both additional income and jobs”, the President said.
Mr. Saydulla said that today his son is engaged in entrepreneurship, his daughter-in-law is a doctor, his grandchildren study well, and he is happy with life.
“The ability to be grateful is the noblest quality, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. – There are all conditions for living, studying and working. There should be peace and tranquility in our country, first of all.
The Head of the state also inspected modern multi-storey houses built in Manguzar mahalla in Termez.
Thereupon, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has completed his visit to Surkhandarya region and returned to Tashkent.
