President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Mausoleum of Bahouddin Naqshband.
Surahs from the Quran and prayer were recited with a request to the Almighty to send down peace and prosperity to our people.
The importance of enlightenment and the upbringing of young people were discussed during the conversation with religious leaders.
“Bukhara has been the center of science and education since ancient times. In the past, there were more than 30 higher madrasahs here. There were nowhere so many ulemas as here. And today Bukhara has a special place in the education of young people, the fight against ignorance through enlightenment”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The Head of the state emphasized the importance of improving the places of pilgrimage and the roads leading to them, the development of domestic tourism.
“The pilgrimage expresses the respect of our people for the memory of their ancestors, serves to broaden the outlook of young people. Therefore, it is important to open new directions here from other regions, bring young people, increase their knowledge”, the President said.
Today Shavkat Mirziyoyev will get acquainted with the development of the region and will hold a meeting with Bukhara voters as a candidate for President of Uzbekistan.
