Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the leaders exchanged heartfelt congratulations on the upcoming spring holiday Navruz, and sincerely wished the two fraternal peoples peace, wellbeing and prosperity.

Current issues of further strengthening centuries-old friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership were considered.

Special attention was paid to enhancing multifaceted collaboration, promotion of priority projects in trade, strengthening industrial cooperation and development of transport infrastructure, activation of interregional contacts and humanitarian exchanges.

Issues of preparation for the upcoming Summit of the Turkic Council were also discussed.

The telephone conversation took place in a traditionally open, warm and friendly atmosphere.
