Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed current issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation over the phone

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the head of the state, the current issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation were discussed.

The Presidents highly appreciated the fruitful results of the meeting of the prime ministers of the two countries, held yesterday in the city of Nur-Sultan.

The main attention was paid to further promotion of priority projects in trade and logistics, industrial cooperation, the development of modern transport communications and tourism infrastructure.

The Heads of state also welcomed the expansion of the inter-parliamentary exchange and holding of the First Meeting of the Joint Commission at the level of the heads of the Senates in the city of Tashkent these days.

The Leaders exchanged views on the issues of strengthening friendship and good-neighborliness in Central Asia, as well as a peaceful settlement in Afghanistan.

The schedule of the upcoming summit meetings was considered.
