Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda and in regional cooperation

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has spoken by phone with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the heads of states discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda and in regional cooperation.

The parties noted the importance of furthering the economic cooperation projects in priority sectors that are included in the roadmap of mutually advantageous practical interaction between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Particular attention was paid to the continuation of dynamic contacts at the regional and business levels, and the enhancement of cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The Presidents swapped views on the current developments in Central Asia.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also deliberated on issues related to the advancement of dialogue within the framework of international and regional institutions, including the CIS and SCO.

The schedule of highest-level events was also considered.
