On December 30, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
Heads of states exchanged sincere congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of the upcoming New Year.
It should be noted that 2019 has become an important stage in strengthening friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership.
Intensive mutual exchanges have been observed, trade indicators have doubled, cooperation projects in industry and transport are being promoted, interregional and cultural-humanitarian cooperation is expanding.
The leaders highly appreciated the results of the second Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States in Tashkent.
Prospects of Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan cooperation and the schedule of joint activities in 2020 were also considered.
