Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of projects in culture and enlightenment, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the head of our state, a modern library to be built in the Alisher Navoi National Park is among them. The library will consist of three floors. A green zone will be created on the adjacent territory. The first floor will present literature on art and information technologies, the second floor – historical and philological literature, books on religion, the third floor – literature on the humanities. The library fund will amount to more than 1.5 million books, including electronic publications and documents in various fields of science.
The President noted the need for applying the most advanced achievements of urban planning during the construction of the library, to take into account all the conditions for visitors.
A project for the installation of a new monument to Muhammad al-Khwarizmi in the city of Urgench and the creation of an alley around it was also presented.
By the Resolution of the President of December 2, 2020, this year will mark the 85th anniversary of the People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Batir Zakirov’s birth. It is planned to erect a monument to the artist in the city of Tashkent.
Sketches of the monuments, selected by the Academy of Arts through a competition, were considered at the presentation. The Head of the state gave recommendations to improve the sites selected for the monuments.
