Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov arrives in Tashkent

On January 15, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov arrived in Uzbekistan.

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tyurdenev met the distinguished guest at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

The program of the visit provides for negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and a visit to the branch of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) in Tashkent.

During the talks, a number of issues of bilateral political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian cooperation will be discussed. Ministries of Foreign Affairs are planning to sign the Cooperation Program for 2020-2021.
