The headquarters of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing hosted a roundtable discussion on “Constitutional reform in New Uzbekistan”, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China together with the National Center for Human Rights of Uzbekistan, the Development Strategy Center and the SCO Secretariat.
It was attended by the leadership of the SCO Secretariat, senior officials of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions of the member states, observers and dialogue partners of the SCO, heads of socio-political, experts and analytical circles and the Chinese media.
The First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Director of the National Center for Human Rights of Uzbekistan, academician Akmal Saidov and Director of the Development Strategy Center Eldor Tulyakov attended the event via videoconference.
At the forum, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming delivered a welcoming speech. He praised the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at building a New Uzbekistan and improving the well-being of people.
