Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi received SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov, who is completing his mission, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

On behalf of the Government of China, the Minister expressed gratitude to the SCO Secretary-General for his contribution to the development of the organization.

China’s FM praised the results of the three-year activity of Vladimir Norov as the head of the SCO headquarters and expressed the hope that he would continue to play an active role in the development of the organization and strengthen the friendship between China and Uzbekistan.

Vladimir Norov expressed gratitude to the leadership of China’s Foreign Ministry for the support and attention given to the activity of the SCO Secretariat during his work as head of the organization’s headquarters.

SCO Secretary-General emphasized that for him it was a special honor and a great noble mission for the first time in the history of Uzbekistan to represent the country as the head of the largest regional organization, the members of which are the Central Asian countries, four nuclear powers and two permanent members of the UN Security Council.
