Senators approve the law on ratification of the Charter of the Hague Conference on Private International Law

The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On ratification of the Charter of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (The Hague, October 31, 1951) was considered at the Senate.

The entry of Uzbekistan into this organization will contribute to further integration of the country into the world community, taking into account the development trends of international citizenship, family and commercial law, and modern legal standards. This will create conditions for widespread use of technical assistance provided within the framework of implementation of the conventions. Membership in the organization will also expand the opportunity for direct participation in discussion of new conventions developed by the organization, and, accordingly, the promotion of the country’s interests in the international arena.

Uzbekistan, as a full member of this international structure, will be able to participate in unification of international civil, family and private law, further development of the legal sphere taking into account modern standards, protection of the rights and interests of our citizens living abroad.

Senators have approved the law.
