On June 11, a session of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place.
At the session, a decision was made to convene the fifth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 19 this year.
Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva emphasized that the opinion of people on each issue included in the agenda of the plenary session should be taken into account, as well as in the regions it is necessary to regularly study the issues that should be submitted to the plenary discussion.
It is planned to consider a number of current issues during the plenary session, via videoconference.
Among them are the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On innovative activities”, “On hunting and hunting economy”, “On participation of citizens in the protection of public order”, “On geodetic and cartographic activities”.
In addition, the senators will discuss the laws “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the rational use of energy”, “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Criminal Executive Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at ensuring reliable protection of the rights and legitimate interests of convicts”, “On introducing amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
Laws “On ratification of the Protocol on introducing amendments to the Agreement between state members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on conducting joint military exercises of June 27, 2007 (Bishkek, April 29, 2019)”, “On the accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Protocol for the Prohibition of the Use in War of Asphyxiating, Poisonous or Other Gases, and of Bacteriological Methods of Warfare (Geneva, June 17, 1925)” are also in the plenary agenda.
