The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai organized a roundtable discussion dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and China and Central Asia – China Online Summit, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The event was attended by leading representatives of the expert-analytical and business circles, as well as Chinese media.
It was noted that the President of Uzbekistan put forward several important initiatives at the summit, in particular in strengthening regional security, further development of trade-economic and investment cooperation, trans-regional logistics routes, healthcare, agriculture and digital economy, as well as expanding cultural-humanitarian exchange.
The leadership of China Railway Tielong Container Logistics Co., Ltd. noted that the company specializes in logistics and organization of cargo transportation between the countries of Central Asia, in particular Uzbekistan and China. The significant increase in the volume of shipments to Uzbekistan and China observed in recent years indicates the progressive growth of the country’s economic development due to the creation of new enterprises, factories and other various production facilities, as well as a noticeable increase in the volume of exports of Uzbekistan products, in particular green mung beans, dried fruits, peanuts, textiles and others to China.
Following the event, agreements were reached with the leadership of several companies on the organization of online meetings with relevant agencies and associations of Uzbekistan to discuss the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation this year.
