Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrives in Astana

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Kazakhstan on a state visit. At the Astana International Airport, he was welcomed by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Tomorrow, the first meeting of the High Intergovernmental Council will be held under the chairmanship of the leaders of the two countries.

During the talks, issues related to deepening the strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will be thoroughly discussed, including cooperation in politics, trade and economy, investment, transport and communications, energy, agriculture, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

According to the program, participation in the Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders and the "Central Asia + Japan" dialogue format is also planned.
