Shavkat Mirziyoyev lays a wreath at the Victory Monument

The official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus has started.

Upon arrival in Minsk, the President of Uzbekistan, according to tradition, laid a wreath at the Victory Monument in the capital of Belarus.

National anthems of the two countries were performed by the military orchestra. A solemn march of soldiers of the Honor Guard Company took place.

The main events of the visit will take place on August 1. Leaders of Uzbekistan and Belarus will hold talks in a contracted and expanded format, at the Palace of Independence.

Following the talks, it is planned to sign the Joint Statement of the Heads of States and adopt a solid package of agreements aimed at strengthening Uzbekistan – Belarus multifaceted partnership.

Presidents will visit the National Industrial Exhibition of Uzbekistan, in Minsk. The program also includes familiarization with activities of High Technologies Park of Belarus.
