Shavkat Mirziyoyev meets with Emomali Rahmon

On November 29, within the framework of the second Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

Positive dynamics of the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, which has reached the level of strategic partnership, was noted with deep satisfaction.

Thanks to joint efforts, trade-economic relations are actively developing. The trade turnover is increasing, cooperation in various sectors is intensifying, and cultural-humanitarian exchange is expanding.

Prospects for expanding cooperation between fraternal countries were discussed, as well as current issues of regional and international politics were considered at the meeting.

The leaders of the two countries expressed their commitment to further strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
