On October 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.
At the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on his election as Honorary Chairman of the Turkic Council and the awarding of the Highest Order of the Turkic World.
The great contribution of the First President of Kazakhstan to formation and development of the Council, as well as the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation within the organization, was emphasized.
In turn, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized that the accession of Uzbekistan to the Turkic Council will increase international authority and the effectiveness of cooperation within this structure.
Current issues of bilateral relations, as well as the global and regional agenda were discussed at the meeting.
