The Head of the state visited the Second Perinatal Center, built in Chilanzar district of the city of Tashkent.
National programs are being implemented to improve public health, protect motherhood and childhood in the country. In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of November 8, 2019, the quality of medical care is increasing and the coverage of women of reproductive age, pregnant women and children is expanding.
The perinatal center has the most modern amenities based on the experience of leading clinics. There is a multidisciplinary polyclinic on the ground floor of the building. The upper floors have patient rooms and general practice rooms, including the intensive care unit for children. Here it is possible to treat 140 patients at the same time.
The President got acquainted with conditions created in the medical institution, talked with doctors through the askdoctor.uz online polyclinic program.
“The coronavirus pandemic opened our eyes. It showed how important information technology is in medicine. However, neither the conditions nor the qualifications of the staff are sufficient. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a program based on the experience of developed countries and accelerate the development of telemedicine. This will help save time and money and ensure the epidemiological safety. We must be conscious and vigilant to continue to prevent the spread of infectious diseases”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Instructions were given on phased implementation of distance technologies in district hospitals and rural clinics, training medical personnel and the population in its use.
The conference hall for 100 seats of the perinatal center gives the possibility to conduct videoconferences with participation of domestic and foreign experts.
The Head of the state examined the hall, emphasized that each clinic should have a partner abroad.
The center was built on the basis of innovative building materials with high quality and energy saving. All conditions for emergency medical care are provided.
