Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan met with the Ambassador of Japan

Yesterday, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador of Japan Hatori Takashi, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, during the meeting, the parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation on Afghanistan. In particular, the importance of continuing to coordinate efforts aimed at establishing long-term peace in that country was noted.

They also discussed providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, the implementation of large infrastructure projects aimed at developing Afghanistan’s trade and economic ties with the countries of the region, as well as using the country’s transit potential.

The sides reviewed the possibilities of joint use of the potential of Educational Center for Afghan citizens in Termez, as well as the transport and logistics hub "Termez Cargo Center" for the implementation of joint educational and humanitarian projects.
