Yesterday, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia, Terhi Hakala, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and the European Union in the Afghan direction.

The Ambassador stressed the significant role of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.

The European side was informed about Uzbekistan’s efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people and economic assistance to Afghanistan.
