Tanzila Narbayeva meets with Latvian FM

Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs.

According to the Upper House of Parliament, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Latvia, including inter-parliamentary collaboration.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia highly appreciated the regional policy carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as efforts to strengthen peace and stability in the Central Asian region.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that the relations between the countries in recent years have been characterized by stable dynamics of development. At the same time, the need for using the existing great potential to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in many areas was noted.

It was emphasized that the intensive bilateral political dialogue and active, multifaceted cooperation between the two countries is constructive and creative.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening inter-parliamentary ties between the countries, which play an important role in enhancing cooperation in all areas, as well as the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level.
