On February 8, virtual talks have been held between the First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov with the Secretary of State for Trade of Spain Xiana Méndez, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the parties noted the formed prospects for intensifying cooperation. “After the pandemic that befell the global economy last year, we believe that the time has come to decisively stimulate trade and economic ties”, said Xiana Méndez.
It was noted that the Spanish government is ready to make a significant contribution to the implementation of industrial and infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan with the participation of Spanish companies by allocating long-term concessional loans through the FIEM under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
The parties also discussed issues of holding the 1st meeting of Uzbekistan – Spain Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in the second half of 2021 in Tashkent.
