On January 21, The Address of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan of December 29, 2020, was presented at the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The meeting, organized via videoconference, was attended by OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid, Ambassador and Head of the Permanent Delegation of Sweden to the OSCE Ulrika Funered, senior staff of the Secretariat of the organization and the Parliamentary Assembly, as well as more than 50 ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of the OSCE participating States and partners.
The Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the OSCE, Ambassador Abat Fayzullayev made a report and introduced the participants to the main provisions of the President’s Address.
As noted, in the international arena, Uzbekistan will continue an open, pragmatic, and constructive foreign policy that meets national interests.
The attention of the meeting participants was drawn to the main tasks outlined by the President of Uzbekistan in the implementation of the country’s foreign policy in 2021.
It was noted that active work will continue in Uzbekistan to strengthen independence, democratize society, develop trade and economic ties and investment cooperation, ensure peace and stability in the region.
Following the meeting, the text of the Address of the President of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis was circulated as an official document of the OSCE Permanent Council.
