The Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan has reduced the base rate from 15 to 14% per annum, reports IA “Dunyo".

The head of the Central Bank Mamarizo Nurmuratov today named five main reasons for the revision of rates: regulated prices remained unchanged, the quarantine affected domestic demand and incomes, the seasonal decline in prices for vegetables and fruits, lending in the economy is growing at a slower pace, the exchange rate has been stable since April.

Earlier, in April, the Central Bank cut the rate from 16% to 15%. Today the base rate has reduced to 14% per annum.
