The Chairperson of the Senate and the Minister of Economy of Oman discuss issues of further developing bilateral relations

The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, who is on a working visit to Qatar, has met with the Minister of Economy of Oman, Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the upper house of the Parliament, the parties discussed issues of further developing relations between Uzbekistan and Oman in various fields, strengthening inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries.

The Omani side was informed about the large-scale work in Uzbekistan to build New Uzbekistan, the course of the constitutional reform.

It was noted that the two states are united by a common culture, religion, traditions and spiritual values. Both sides are equally interested in the consistent strengthening of mutually beneficial relations.

The Minister of Economy of Oman emphasized that the international authority of Uzbekistan is growing and that the country is considered as the primary partner in Central Asia. In this regard, it was noted that Oman is in favor of further intensifying bilateral relations in the economy, agriculture, innovation, tourism, and other areas.

The parties exchanged views on the issues of strengthening trade and economic relations, establishing industrial cooperation, and joint implementation of investment projects.
