The delegation of Uzbekistan, led by chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, participated in the plenary meeting of the X BRICS Parliamentary Forum held in St. Petersburg on the topic of "Inter-parliamentary cooperation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres", reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the information service of the upper house of Parliament, during the event, discussions included developing international cooperation in the fields of science, education, tourism, art, culture, and engaging with young parliamentarians.
At the plenary meeting, the delegation of Uzbekistan provided detailed information about the country’s focus on education, culture, and tourism, highlighting significant achievements.
The forum participants discussed issues of exchanging experience in developing the fields of science, education, culture, and tourism, ensuring gender equality, and protecting the rights and interests of women.
At the end of the event, a joint declaration of the X Parliamentary Forum was adopted.
