The delegations of the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Serbia held bilateral economic consultations.Economic consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Serbia, via videoconference, reports “Dunyo” IA

According to Uzbekistan MFA, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov and Acting Assistant Minister for Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Jagoda Lazarević exchanged views on the state and prospects of cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as in innovation, information and communication technologies.

The main attention was paid to deepening economic diplomacy through the establishment and expansion of direct contacts between business entities of the two countries, the implementation of joint investment projects using all available opportunities.

The parties discussed issues related to the expansion of the legal framework of Uzbekistan – Serbian cooperation, including in the trade and economic sphere through relevant and practically significant documents.

The parties agreed to work out the issues of holding an exhibition of Uzbekistan products in Belgrade in 2023, organizing a visit of a Serbian trade mission to Uzbekistan to participate in major textile and food exhibitions, as well as creating an Uzbekistan – Serbian Trading House.
