The Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Austria signed a cooperation program for 2022-2023

Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Michael Linhart, who arrived in Tashkent on a working visit, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, welcoming the guest, the Minister stressed that Uzbekistan is interested in developing and strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Austria, both on the bilateral agenda and within the framework of the European Union.

The positive dynamics of relations observed in recent years, which became possible thanks to the commitment of the parties to bringing constructive cooperation to a qualitatively new level, was noted with satisfaction.

The sides expressed their readiness to intensify ties in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres. An agreement was reached on thorough and high-quality preparation for the upcoming contacts at various levels and formats.

Views were exchanged on the current situation in Afghanistan and its impact on regional and international stability. The importance of intensifying and consolidating the efforts of the international community to provide humanitarian assistance to the country to prevent a humanitarian crisis was noted.

A cooperation program was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria for 2022-2023.

Following the event, a press conference was held for Uzbekistan and Austria media representatives.
