The Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and the EU expressed interest in expanding the interregional dialogue in the Central Asia-European Union format

Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, in Antalya, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the results of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union over the past year were summed up, current issues of the common agenda for the current year were considered at the meeting.

The parties exchanged views on the schedule and practical aspects of the upcoming joint events at various levels.

The main attention was paid to the progress achieved in the negotiations on the draft Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the EU.

Mutual interest was expressed in enhancing the interregional dialogue in Central Asia – European Union format.
