Last year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the construction of the Yangi Uzbekiston massif in the city of Fergana. During the current trip to the region, the head of state again examined the progress of work, a Dunyo news agency correspondent reports.
Today, construction is intensively carried out on a vast area of 300 hectares. It is planned to build 298 multi-apartment buildings here, designed for more than 65,000 residents. This is of great social importance for the densely populated city of Fergana and the entire region.
This year, 73 houses are being built. The first of them have already been put into operation.
Schools, preschool and medical institutions, points of trade and consumer services, a sports complex will also be located on the territory of the array. A small industrial zone of 50 hectares will play an important role in providing local residents with jobs.
The array will be a kind of eco-town - on the territory of 70 hectares, it is planned to create the Yangi Uzbekiston park and an artificial lake. Empty lots will be landscaped. An alley will be created around the reservoir.
According to the Press Service of the President, during the acquaintance, the head of state gave instructions on attracting investors to socio-economic projects on the territory of the massif, organizing a wide range of services.
On this July 28, the President completed his trip to the Fergana region and returned to Tashkent.
