The Head of the MIFT has met with the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the customs post “G'isht Ko'prik”

On February 13, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov has met with the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov, at the customs post “G’isht Ko’prik” on the border of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties confirmed mutual readiness to further strengthen the multifaceted cooperation of the two countries. The tasks for enhancing and strengthening cooperation, outlined in the roadmap, which was signed in November 2020 in Tashkent, were discussed.

The Ministers identified mechanisms for enhancing cooperation between the relevant ministries, agencies and entrepreneurs of the two countries to organize approved events and implement projects. Attention was paid to joint projects to increase the trade turnover, develop cross-border relations and organize the “Central Asia” International Center for Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of projects and planned to hold regular joint events dedicated to bilateral investment, trade and economic cooperation.
