The Head of the Uzbekistan MFA holds talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of China

Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Member of the CPC Central Committee of PRC, Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, in Xi’an, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan MFA, the Chinese Foreign Minister conveyed warm greetings and deep respect of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The current state and prospects for the development of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China were discussed during the talks.

The ministers exchanged views on the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, the implementation of the tasks set by the leaders of the two countries to further enhance relations in various areas.

The parties noted with satisfaction that the joint efforts managed to ensure the dynamic development of cooperation in the economic sphere and noted the importance of further increasing the volume and range of mutual trade.

The urgency of the early adoption of practical measures for the development of China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan multimodal transport route and the joint implementation of the project for the construction of China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan railway line was emphasized.

The Ministers focused on mechanisms of interaction within the framework of international and regional organizations, ensuring regional security, promoting lasting peace in Afghanistan and restoring its economy.
