The Heads of State of Kazakhstan Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan adopted a Joint statement on the events in Kyrgyzstan

The Heads of State of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan adopted a Joint statement on the events in Kyrgyzstan, in which they expressed "serious concern" about the events taking place, reports IA “Dunyo” correspondent.

«We are seriously concerned about the events taking place in the fraternal Kyrgyzstan.

As close neighbors bound by centuries-old ties of friendship, neighborliness, common cultural and spiritual values, we call on the people of Kyrgyzstan in these complicated days to show wisdom inherent in them in order to preserve peace and restore stability in the country.

We express the hope that all political parties and public circles of Kyrgyzstan will make every effort essential to secure peace and harmony, and address the issues at stake with outright compliance with the norms of the Constitution and national legislation.

Kyrgyzstan’s wellbeing is an important factor in regional security and the sustainable development of the entire Central Asia.

Our countries have one past and are building a common future. The peoples of Central Asia are historically united by the desire for perpetual peace, harmony and creative potential for the good of future generations.

With shared goals, our states have been actively strengthening regional cooperation to enhance trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian ties, cross-border and interregional interaction.

Along the path of consolidating the Central Asian solidarity, we will always support the people of Kyrgyzstan in their strive for unity, peaceful and independent development, and prosperity».
