The Inter-Parliamentary Forum “Uzbekistan – Japan” was held

Yesterday, the Inter-Parliamentary Forum “Uzbekistan – Japan” was held via videoconference, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Japanese Parliamentary League of Friendship with Uzbekistan and the Inter-Parliamentary Group “Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Parliament of Japan”.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo, the state and prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation, the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation of 2019, as well as upcoming joint events of an inter-parliamentary nature were discussed at the forum.

The participants emphasized the strategic nature of the cooperation established between Uzbekistan and Japan.

The Japanese parliamentarians noted the readiness of the members of the parliamentary Friendship League to further promote the development of fruitful cooperation between the two countries in various areas.

The role of parliaments in the timely and qualitative implementation of all agreements reached during the high-level visit to Japan, as well as on strengthening and enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries were also discussed.

Japanese parliamentarians confirmed their readiness to further contribute to building up diversified cooperation and visit Uzbekistan as the situation with coronavirus normalizes.
