The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Administrator of USAID exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and the need to provide assistance to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the country

Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks with the Administrator of USAID Samantha Power, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and USAID were discussed at the meeting.

The parties exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and the need to provide assistance to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the country.

An agreement was reached to continue cooperation on the implementation of programs in Uzbekistan in healthcare, education, agriculture, improving the judicial-legal system, supporting Uzbekistan’s efforts to combat COVID-19.
