Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Gunther Overfield in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Uzbekistan MFA, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan highly appreciated the activities of the German Ambassador to bring bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level. In this context, the importance of continuing the implementation of the agreements reached during the mutual visits of the heads of state in 2019 and virtual negotiations of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel in March 2021 was noted.
The parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen the partnership in the political, trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Mr. Gunther Overfield, in turn, expressed gratitude for the support and favorable conditions created for the implementation of his successful activities in Uzbekistan.
