The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with the UN Under-Secretary-General in Tashkent

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General, Executive Director of UN Women Sima Sami Iskandar Bahous, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

"Glad to meet with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General, Executive Director of UN Women H.E. Sima Sami Iskandar Bahous, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate at the Asian Women’s Forum being held in Samarkand these days, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Appreciate Madam Bahous’s continued support of the reforms aimed at creating the best conditions for women and girls in our country. Ensuring gender equality, promoting women empowerment, realization of their full potential in our society are among the top priorities of the Government of Uzbekistan towards achieving long-term prosperity".
It is worth noting that on May 13, the Asian Women’s Forum opened in Samarkand. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent greetings to its participants.
