Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov had a telephone conversation with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Jean-Yves Le Drian, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan MFA, the ministers discussed the state and prospects of multifaceted cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.

Proposals on the agenda and schedule of the upcoming joint events at various levels, including the next meeting of Uzbekistan – France Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the 2nd ministerial meeting in “France – Central Asia” format, were considered.

The parties also exchanged views on certain aspects of regional issues.

Following the conversation, Uzbekistan’s FM invited the French side to the High-Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” to be held in July this year in Tashkent.
