On November 20, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Technological Park of Software Products and Information Technology in Mirzo Ulugbek district of the capital.
This IT park was established on the basis of the agreement reached during the state visit of the President of India to India in 2018, in cooperation with the Ministry of Information and Communication Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Society of Software Technology Park under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India.
On January 10, 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers outlined measures to set up a technology park, and a directorate was established. Construction was in full swing, and in July this year its first building was put into operation.

The Technopark has all the facilities for professionals, incubation and acceleration programs to support promising start-up projects. The first projects in the areas of information technology, financial technology, logistics, e-commerce, e-learning, biotechnology and others are successfully implemented.
For example, logistics and technology outsourcing to cafes and pizzas have been provided to US transportation companies. Such services of technopark are attractive to foreigners due to their low cost and quality.
The sustainability of our economy, the quality and effectiveness of each industry, and the creation of convenience for the population are related to information technology. Therefore, it is necessary to create more opportunities in this area, create the necessary infrastructure, encourage all-round specialists, and train talented youth, - said Shavkat Mirziyoev.
The enterprises, registered as residents of this industrial park, are exempt from taxes and customs duties until January 1, 2028. It is a great help to the specialists in this field, and it increases the interest in the technology park. In a short time, the number of its residents has exceeded 300.
In order to create more favorable conditions for the development of the industry, it is planned to build seven more lots here, to build IT offices, business centers, hotels and other buildings.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has laid the foundation for this new phase.
The annual capacity of the park is expected to exceed $ 10 million by 2020, and $ 20 million by 2025. The total project cost is $ 150 million.
