The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan arrives in Dushanbe

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived on a state visit in Dushanbe.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, met the President of Uzbekistan at the capital’s airport.

A guard of honor was lined up for the distinguished guest, and the two countries’ national flags were hung. Representatives of Tajikistan youth and creative groups also took part in the meeting of the President of Uzbekistan.

Upon arrival, the President of Uzbekistan visited Dusti Square and laid a wreath at the Monument to Ismoil Somoni.

It should be noted that during the high-level talks, the leaders will discuss issues of further deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and exchange views on interaction at the international and regional levels.

The visit program includes joint participation in a concert of art masters of the two countries and a visit to the exhibition of goods “Made in Uzbekistan”.

As part of the state visit, several events have already taken place, including a women’s forum, Uzbekistan Cinema Days, a conference of intellectuals, scientists and historians, a festival of national dishes and tourism potential.

Previously, a Forum of Rectors was held in Tashkent, and a business forum in Dushanbe.
