The President of Turkmenistan will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on October 4-5

At the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on October 4-5, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the head of our state, the agenda of the upcoming meeting includes issues of enhancing and strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

It is expected that the main attention will be paid to further building up economic interaction, primarily in trade, transport and transit, energy, promoting cooperation projects in industry, agriculture and water management, enhancing contacts between the regions of the two countries, implementing joint programs of cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The Presidents will also exchange views on the current issues of international politics and regional cooperation.

It is planned to hold several bilateral events, including the Economic Forum.

Following the talks, it is envisaged to adopt a Joint Statement of the Heads of State, sign a solid package of documents and contracts aimed at intensifying the multifaceted partnership.
