Yesterday, following the talks, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giorgia Meloni adopted a Joint Declaration on establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of state, in the presence of the two countries’ leaders, a ceremony was also held to exchange ten intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents to deepen multifaceted interaction. Among them are agreements on mutual encouragement and protection of investments, on cooperation on legal issues, in industrial property and agriculture.
Memorandums of cooperation were also adopted between the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Italian Trade Agency on restoration, the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture of the Italian Republic on cooperation in culture, partnership programs between the ministries of foreign affairs for 2023-2024 and cultural exchange for the period until 2026.
