Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the Afghan Bazar Carpets company in Termez city, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the head of our state, many sheep are raised in Surkhandarya. However, their wool is rarely processed. In this regard, the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Karakul Breeding is implementing a project based on the Afghan experience in manufacturing woolen carpets.

The President approved the project and gave instructions on enhancing the partnership with Afghan entrepreneurs, increasing the number of woolen sheep.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked with women working at the company.

The Silk Road Tex factory will also be organized here. It will be engaged in manufacturing fabrics and finished products from silk, sports and travel bags. It is planned to export products worth more than $2 million a year.
